Practices for Children Service
19/10/08, 3:30pm, Children Church
Kids from “Small Samuel” class were wearing flowers & butterflies costumes.
Sis Esther, person in charge for children performance.
19/10/08, 4pm, Main Sanctuary
rehearsal at main sanctuary after Sunday service. Children were walking up the stage.
All the children seems like very excited about this performance. During the practice, some of the children will forget that actually they are butterflies. They need to go round and round. For your information, children that act as butterflies and flowers are those who are below 5 years old. They would just sit down despite that the performance still going on whenever they felt to. Haha.
Next Sunday will be their actual day to perform in front of church members. Pray that everything will go smoothly and the most important thing is that children will pass this love around them.
I dedicate my morning
Psalm 92:1-2 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, (NKJV)
I Dedicate My Morning
Almighty God,
As I enter into the start of a new day, I commit everything to your care: my self, my soul, my body, my activities and my friends.
I pray that You will watch over me, keep me, guide and direct me, make me Holy and bless me.
Cause my heart to follow your ways; Transform me completely into the image of Christ; just like a potter forms the clay; may my words be a well tuned musical instrument singing your praise.
Let everyone around me see my living by your Spirit, stomping out worldliness, unmoved by worthless vanity, changed by a renewed mind, completely covered by the Armor of God, shining like a light that cannot be put out, showing holiness in everything I do.
Let no sin dirty my thoughts, words or hands. May I be able to live in this sinful world unstained by wickedness, free from spot or stain.
Even while I work let my real love be in heaven, and let my love be intense like flames of fire; my eyes fixed on heavenly, invisible things; help me to be aware of the empty, fleeting and vain nature of things of this earth.
Help me to have an eternal perspective about all things, waiting for Jesus to return, listening for Him to call us home, bringing us to the new heaven and new earth.
Direct all my words today according to Your Wisdom and according to what will bring Good. May I speak each word as if it were my last and walk each step as if it were my last step.
If my life should come to an end today, let this be my best day.
Contemplation: Do you days seem to go better when you think of the Lord in your first waking thoughts? Is your mind on the Lord so much that you can’t help but think of Him first thing?
Application: There is no better habit that to think of Jesus the moment your eyes open, and right before they close.
Rainbow - the promise of God
“This is so beautiful!” This was what I think when I saw rainbow yesterday evening before I went for discussion.
In my mind, few verses in bible come in:
[And God said:"This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant with all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever i bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds. I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.] =Genesis 9:12-16=
I really thanks God for this everlasting covenant. Thanks for His love and mercy on us.

Holiday
One week holiday is coming to an end.
Even though this week is holiday, I still have many assignments to do which I need to submit next week. Nevertheless I manage to watch some movies which I always no time to watch — The Terminal, Lord of The Ring 2 and Lord of The Ring 3.
All these three movies are interesting. I like them. There are meanings behind these stories.
It’s time to keep my things. It’s time to leave my home sweet home.
